张向东，1998年3月获得西安电子科技大学信号与信息处理方向博士学位。研究方向为智能交通信息系统与图像处理。现主要从事智能交通、图像处理和计算机视觉等方面的研究工作。

（8）横向科研项目“基于itu h.320的会议电视系统”。

其中“目标激光散射特性研究”项目于1998年获国家科技进步成果三等奖；863高技术项目“数字场景产生器”于1997年获省教委科技进步二等奖。
