1984年毕业于清华大学水利工程系。
1986年获清华大学水力学与河流
动力学专业硕士学位。
1992年在
香港大学工学院机械工程系作博士后研究。
1993年任日本
长崎大学土木工程系副教授,兼任研究生院海洋产业技术科学学科副教授。
1997年调任日本东京大学土木工程系副教授。
1999年回国服务,任
上海交通大学工程力学系教授,博士生导师。
2001年初入选
清华大学百人计划,调任清华大学水利水电工程系教授。
2003年-2008年任水利系系主任。
