李承森
李承森,男,1948年1月出生,研究员,博士生导师(中科院植物研究所)。
研究领域
维管植物比较形态学、植物解剖学、化石植物分类学、演化植物学和环境生物学。
遵循植物演化生物学的思想,从生命科学和环境科学两个方面,研究陆地植物起源演化及其与全球环境变迁的相关关系。长期以来,通过研究植物演化过程中处于重要环节的类群,整体重建重要的绝灭类群,恢复植物演化序列,揭示其演化机制和规律;同时获取生物演化事件和化石植物富含的环境和气候信息,从生物学角度认识环境演变过程和规律,认识史前自然灾难,在长时间尺度上探索和理解全球变化趋势。其领导的研究团队主要致力于以下研究:1)陆地植物起源和演化;2)新生代植被演替及其对全球气候变化的响应;3)第三纪东亚-北美、东亚-欧洲植被的关系;4)人类早期活动与自然环境的关系,取得了一系列原创性研究成果,积累了丰富经验,发表研究论文150多篇;主要研究成果发表在美国、英国德国加拿大荷兰等国际核心刊物上;

1977北京大学地质系毕业,留校任教
1986中国科学院植物所,获博士学位
1987-1989获德国洪堡奖学金,在波恩大学地质与古生物研究所和法兰克福大学森肯堡研究所工作
1990 分别由英国文化协会比利时Alice SEGHERS 基金会支持访问英国威尔士大学和列日大学。当年回国,由助理研究员越级晋升为研究员。
1990获国务院学位办“做出突出贡献的中国博士学位获得者”荣誉称号
1992起享受政府特殊津贴,同年获国家基金委优秀中青年人才专项基金
1997获国家自然科学奖三等奖(排名第二)
1998获美国史密森研究所奖学金
1993年至今作为中国科学院与伦敦皇家自然知识促进学会合作项目中方负责人

担任北京自然博物馆馆长,组织欧亚自然博物馆馆长高层论坛等国际活动。组织、领导和实施多项展览,包括植物展览、恐龙展览、矿物展览等。从事科研工作的同时,承担和参与了大量北京市科普项目和活动,为北京市知名科普专家,为祖国科学知识传播和提高大众环保意识做出贡献。
