加纳大学是加纳共和国的最高学府，也是加纳国家6所公办大学中规模最大、办学历史最为悠久的一所。作为西非重点大学之一，目前共有学生近3万人，教学、研究人员865人，专业管理人员128人。近年来，中加两国外交、经贸、文化等交流日益频繁，加纳人民学习汉语的呼声日渐高涨，汉语课程的开设将进一步促进加纳人民对中国文化的了解，这也是两国在文化交流领域的合作成果。加纳大学现任校长是埃比尼泽·奥杜罗·奥乌苏。

2011年，当地时间4月8日上午十点，新华影廊"非洲人在中国"图片展在加纳大学现代语言系正式开幕。加纳新闻部副部长塞缪尔·奥库杰托·阿布拉夸和中国驻加纳大使龚建忠为开幕式剪彩。加纳大学现代语言系主任等六十余名加纳大学师生兴致勃勃地参加了开幕式活动。

2021年，加纳大学在2022QS世界大学排名第1001-1200位。

成立于1948年8月11日，加纳大学是加纳共和国的最高学府，也加纳六所大专院校中最大的一所，西非重点大学之一，在一份2011年非洲高等学校最新排名中，加纳大学位列16位，在前20名中，南非有九所，埃及有五所。目前共有学生近3万人，教学、研究人员865人，专业管理人员128人。前身是黄金海岸学院(The University College of the Gold Coast )，由于多名加纳副总统均毕业于此，所以学校也被誉为“加纳政治家的摇篮”。

校园占地面积很大，树木繁茂，校园基本按照南北和东西两个轴线展开，风格有一定殖民地时期建筑特点，有些后来修建的建筑则能体现一点现代的风格。

学校图书馆(THE BALME LIBRARY)位于南北和东西轴线交汇处偏北的地方，是加纳大学的一个标志性建筑，也是加纳最大的公共图纸馆。

加纳大学的办学理念是：开发世界级的人力资源和能力，通过高品质的教育、学习、研究和知识传播来适应国家的发展需要和面对全球的挑战（To develop world-class human resources and capabilities to meet national development needs and global challenges through quality teaching, learning, research and knowledge dissemination）。

医科学：健康科学学院、医学院、牙医学校、医疗诊察科学院、公共卫生学院、野口医学研究中心和上海护理学校；

汉语文化

汉语文化节

自2009年首次举办以来，已成为在加纳推广汉语、宣传中国文化的重要平台。2010汉语文化节为期3天，分为汉语演讲比赛、中文小品和歌舞表演、中原地区传统手工艺品制作和展示等几个单元。学生们在公派中文教师的带领和组织下，凭借对汉语的热情创作了精彩的节目，使文化节成为对加纳大学汉语教学成果的有效检验，在加纳大学校园内掀起一阵“中国风”。

The University of Ghana Business School was established as the College of Administration by Executive Instrument – (E.I.127) at Achimota, 阿克拉 in January, 1960. It started business on the 22 January, 1960, on the old Western 化合物 of Achimota with the old Department of Commerce of the Kumasi College of Technology, established in 1952, (now KNUST) as its 细胞核 The School was renamed School of Administration (SOA) and University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) in 1962 and 2004 respectively.

Before the School was departmentalized in 2004, there were only (4) four Units namely

The School's 人名 was launched in 2004 with the six departments in place.

ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Accounting Studies is probably the most revered and accomplished department of the School. The department has been in existence since the inception of the School at Kumasi College of Technology where it was called the Department of Commerce. It has grown in stature since moving from the Western 化合物 of Achimota to Legon campus.

The current Head of Department is DR J. M. Onumah.

DEPARTMENT OF 金融 AND BANKING

The Department of Finance and Banking was formally under the Department of 管理学 Studies. The new department of Finance and Banking was culled out from the Management Department. Under this department had evolved the Insurance and entrepreneurial studies. Recent trend in the School can testify that it has the greatest patronage.

The current Head of Department is Prof. A. Q. Q. AboagYE

3. DEPARTMENT OF 推销理论 AND CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

The Department of Marketing and Customer 管理学 was also culled out from the Management Department. The evolution of the course has 日本电气essitated a change in its original 人名 to Department of 推销理论 and Customer Management.

The current Head of Department is DR Bedman Nartey.

4. DEPARTMENT OF OPERATIONS AND 管理学 INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The Department was also culled out from the Management Unit under a Co-ordinator. When it was departmentalized in 2004 its 人名 was changed to Department of Operations and 管理学 Information Systems. Since it is a new option in the School the students greatly patronize 信息技术 The School can boast of two well stocked 计算机 laboratories for both undergraduates and graduate students.

The current Head of Department is Dr. John Effah.

5. DEPARTMENT OF ORGANIZATION AND HUMAN 资源 管理学

The Department of Organization and Human Resource Management was under the Management Unit of the School until the Departmentalization of the School took place in 2004.

The current Head of Department is DR Daniel OfORI

6. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND HEALTH SERVICES 管理学

The Public Administration Unit and the Health Services Management Unit were separately on their own and were headed by Co-ordinators. The two units were put together in 2004 when the School decided to departmentalize. The School felt the two units were smaller and decided to merge the two under its new 人名 Department of Public Administration and Health Services 管理学

The current Head of Department is Prof. Kojo Sakyi.
