王慧智，保定市清苑人。1982年天津美术学院绘画系中国画专业毕业，获学士。1987年天津美术学院山水画研究生毕业，获硕士学位。现为天津美术学院中国画系副教授，中国书画报社副总编辑，中国美术家协会会员，天津画院院外画家。

1956年7月28日，王慧智出生于河北保定清苑。1982年，王慧智从天津美术学院绘画系中国画专业毕业，获学士学位。1987年，王慧智从天津美术学院山水画研究生毕业，获硕士学位。2000年，王慧智在山东青州举办个人展览。次年，王慧智在山东济南举办个人展览。2004年，王慧智在天津市举办个人展览。2008年，王慧智在潍坊市举办个人展览。次年，王慧智在烟台市举办个人展览。此外，他还多次赴法国、意大利、西班牙、希腊、加拿大、澳大利亚、新加坡、尼泊尔、韩国、日本、马来西亚等国以及中国台湾、澳门、香港特别行政区等地进行艺术交流并举办画展。
