周江宁，男，1956年10月4日出生于江苏省南京市。现任中国科技大学生命科学院神经科学与生物物理学系主任、神经生物学教授，博士生导师。中国神经科学学会常务理事、中国神经科学学会神经发育专业委员会主任委员。中国药理学学会抗衰老和痴呆专业委员会副主任委员。

1998年回国在安徽医科大学第一附属医院工作，曾任老年医学教授，副主任医师，副院长，安徽省老年病研究所所长，中科院知识创新工程重要方向项目首席科学家，中国科学神经科学会理事。

周江宁，1985年宁夏医科大学硕士毕业，1996年荷兰AMSTERDAM 大学医学系博士毕业。1996年至1998年荷兰皇家科学院脑研究所博士后。1998年回国在安徽医科大学第一附属医院工作，曾任老年医学教授，副主任医师，副院长，安徽省老年病研究所所长，中科院知识创新工程重要方向项目首席科学家，中国科学神经科学会理事。2001年入选中国科学院“百人计划”。2002年建立了国内第一家“中国人脑库”。现为国家973项目中期评估组专家成员。承担了国家重点基础研究发展规划项目（973）、国家高新技术领域规划项目（863）、国家国际合作重点项目、国家中华人民共和国国家自然科学基金委员会项目等国家级项目九项，获资助经费近800万元。

主要从事神经精神系统疾病的发病机制与诊治基础的研究。在以“自然”为代表的SCI期刊发表论文40篇。Nature 论文被评为1995年世界100项重大科学发现之一。

2000年获安徽省科技进步（自然科学类）一等奖。

2002年国际“性别鉴定研究和教育学会”研究论文奖；

国家“百千万”工程第一、第二层次人选；

国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家，教育部骨干教师，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
