钟宏,男,1961年3月出生于浙江龙泉,
畲族,中共党员,博士,教授,博士生导师。现任
中南大学化学化工学院院长,化工冶金研究所所长,中众化工科技有限公司董事、技术总监。曾任中南大学化学化工学院院长、中南工业大学
化学工程系主任、
湖南省政协委员、
中国有色金属学会理事兼青年工作委员会主任、
长沙市科协常委等职务。钟宏还是矿冶工程化学国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心主任,锰资源高效清洁利用湖南省重点实验室主任,
中国化工学会理事、
中国化学会理事、中国有色金属学会理事、湖南省化学化工学会副理事长、湖南省石油学会常务理事、湖南省有色金属学会理事、全国电解锰创新联盟副理事长。他还担任中国有色金属学报(中文版、英文版)、中南大学学报(自然科学版、英文版)、过程工程学报、化工进展、精细化工中间体等杂志编委。

钟宏现任
中南大学化学化工学院院长、化工冶金研究所所长,中南大学矿冶工程化学虚拟仿真实验教学中心(国家级)主任,锰资源高效清洁利用
湖南省重点实验室主任。兼任
中国化学会理事、
中国有色金属学会理事、湖南省化学化工学会副理事长、湖南省石油学会常务理事、湖南省有色金属学会理事、全国电解锰创新联盟副理事长,《过程工程学报》、《
化工进展》、《
精细化工中间体》杂志编委,曾任湖南省政协委员、中国有色金属学会理事兼青年工作委员会主任、
长沙市科协常委等职务。
在科学研究方面,近五年来承担国家863计划、国家973计划专题、国家自然科学基金、军工民口配套项目以及企业合作等项目30余项,获省部级以上科技奖5项,其中国家技术发明
二等奖1项,省部级
一等奖1、二等奖2项;申请国家发明专利50余项,授权35项,发表学术论文200余篇,其中SCI、EI检索100余篇。在选矿与冶金药剂的分子设计、绿色合成以及高效分离技术方面已形成有特色的研究体系。"硫化矿新型高效捕收剂的合成技术与浮选应用"已实现产业化并获国家技术发明二等奖,合作指导的
刘广义博士论文"硫化铜矿石的综合利用及新型捕收剂研究"获2007年全国优秀博士论文。曾先后赴美国
新泽西州ULTRA ADDITIVES 公司、蒙古ERDENET铜矿、智利SGS公司开展国际科研合作,研究成果在
江西铜业、
云南铜业等厂矿企业实现产业化和工业应用,年创经济效益达3亿多元。
在教学工作方面,担任着本科生、硕士研究生和博士研究生等各层次的"化工前沿问题"、"精细化工导论"、"现代化工进展"以及"化工学科研究前沿"等课程教学,指导硕士研究生75名、博士研究生15名。指导大学生创新创业项目和研究生创新工程项目11项,获
湖南省高等教育成果
二等奖1项、中南大学高等教育校级教学成果
一等奖和二等奖各1项。相继获湖南省石油化工优秀工程师、湖南省石油学会先进个人、
湘西土家族苗族自治州科技兴州先进个人、宝钢优秀教师奖、中南大学优秀共产党员、中南大学师德先进个人等荣誉。
